Ansoft Corporation is seeking a qualified individual to lend to the development of Ansoft's state-of-the-art field simulation solvers. Specific responsibilities will include:

• Developing a 3D unstructured mesh generation code that can mesh geometry defined in various geometry kernels like Granite, ACIS, Parasolid, etc.
• Coding to prune excessive details in the geometry definitions.
• Maintaining the current ACIS-based mesh maker.
• Improving the existing solution adaptive meshing code.
• Supporting the sensitivity analysis.
• Developing mesh-partitioning routines to support distributed computing and domain decomposition.

This position is located in Ansoft's corporate headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA.

Qualified candidates should possess the following:

• MS in Engineering
• Specialty with solid modeling systems, surface definitions, and faceting
• Experience in mesh generation techniques
• Good knowledge of data structure and algorithm design
• Strong knowledge of C/C++ object-oriented design techniques
• Ability to assimilate code quickly and leverage new code off existing libraries
• Good problem-solving skills, self-confidence, self-motivation, and pride in one's work
• Strong attention to detail
