Solving common-mode-noise problems while meeting the desired performance is a difficult challenge for many of today's engineers. Designers often utilize specialized filters to assist with this effort but struggle with the ability to fully predict the performance of the physical effects prior to prototyping.
By teaming with Ansoft, Panasonic created new filter designs and a new methodology that are useful for both Panasonic and its customers.
Hiroshi Higashitani, of the Devices Application Center at Panasonic and a guest speaker at Ansoft's Converge Applications Workshop for High-Performance Design, reviewed the scope of this entire project. During his presentation, he described the benefits of Panasonic's layered poly-compounded high capacitors and the additional libraries available to Panasonic's customers seeking to achieve similar results.
