Sridhar Kanamaluru, at Sarnoff, uses HFSS to simulate the entire structure of a Ka-band monopulse comparator, including all rat-races, waveguide bends, and transitions.
"HFSS enables the design to start with building blocks, each building block designed to meet performance criteria," said Kanamaluru. "Once all of these building blocks were added, I simulated the entire structure to ensure that the comparator met specifications."
