AnsoftLinks
Design Automation for MCAD Import
AnsoftLink for MCAD facilitates the transfer of 3D geometry from Mechanical CAD (MCAD) packages into HFSS, Q3D Extractor and Maxwell where electromagnetic field simulation can be performed. AnsoftLinks supports products using common file formats, such as IGES, STEP, ACIS, Parasolid. The software also can import solid models from ANSYS Mechanical, Pro/ENGINEER, AutoCAD, CATIA, and Siemens PLM NX.
Devices such as antennas, connectors, motors, generators and bus bars can be automatically converted into ready-to-simulate ANSYS models for electromagnetic analysis. This allows engineers to use existing design geometries in their analyses. By reducing the time required to re-create a CAD model in the analysis tool, engineers save a tremendous amount of time and are able to meet aggressive development costs and delivery schedules.
